Phenomenal Phoenix Chapter

Chapter History

The Phenomenal Phoenix Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated was established on November 28, 1952, under the leadership of Juanita Dickey, our first Chapter President. The chapter was founded to bridge the social gap for African-American children who, at that time, were denied access to museums and cultural institutions.

From its founding by 25 visionary mothers, the chapter has grown to include more than 50 families, continuing to provide a positive and nurturing environment for African-American youth. For over seven decades, the Phoenix Chapter has served as a beacon of leadership, service, and community — fostering excellence, cultural pride, and lifelong friendships.
