HBCU
Each year, Phoenix Chapter families and prospective families come together to celebrate the legacy, culture, and achievements of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) while introducing our children to the importance and impact of these institutions.
Dressed in their favorite HBCU gear, families enjoy food, fun, and fellowship while building HBCU awareness and supporting the HBCU GAP Fund, helping strengthen educational opportunities for future generations.
Each year, the Phenomenal Phoenix Chapter brings our families together through signature experiences designed to develop leaders, strengthen connections, celebrate culture, and serve our community.
From family-centered celebrations and youth showcases to service and philanthropic initiatives, these experiences create opportunities for our children and families to learn, lead, serve, and thrive together.
Holiday Brunch
Each year, Phoenix Chapter families and the greater community come together to celebrate the holiday season through fellowship, family connection, and service. This cherished tradition brings generations together for festive activities, games, and family-friendly fun.
The celebration also puts giving into action as our families provide holiday gifts to local grandparents raising grandchildren, extending the spirit of the season beyond our chapter and into the community.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service
Each year, Phoenix Chapter families honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through meaningful service in our community. Children, teens, mothers, and fathers serve side by side, putting Dr. King’s commitment to service and community into action.
Through hands-on volunteer experiences, our youth learn that leadership includes serving others and that each of us has the power to make a meaningful difference in our community.
MLK Day Walk
Each year, the Phoenix Chapter joins the greater community for the MLK Walk and Celebration, honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s enduring legacy of equality, service, and hope.
Through this shared experience, our children and families walk alongside the community, celebrate Dr. King’s vision, and reflect on their own role in carrying his legacy forward.
Living History
The Annual Living History Awards Program is presented by the Phoenix Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, in collaboration with the Phoenix Chapter of The Links, Incorporated and Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity’s Gamma Mu Boulé of Phoenix.
Now celebrating more than 20 years, this signature program connects Phoenix-area youth with the stories and achievements of prominent African American leaders in the arts, sciences, and other disciplines through educational and cultural enrichment experiences.
By honoring local trailblazers whose accomplishments have made a lasting impact, Living History gives our youth an opportunity to see excellence represented, learn from those who came before them, and envision what is possible for their own futures.
