May Celebrations

The Phoenix Chapter’s May Celebration brought mothers, teens, and families together for an evening of recognition, reflection, and celebration as we concluded another successful program year. The event featured New Member Initiation, Officer Installation, Chapter Awards, and Bridging Ceremonies, highlighting the leadership, service, and accomplishments that continue to strengthen our chapter.

Throughout the evening, members gathered to honor important milestones, celebrate achievements, and recognize those entering new chapters of their Jack and Jill journey. From welcoming new mothers into our village to installing chapter leaders and recognizing families reaching significant milestones, the celebration reflected the spirit of sisterhood, excellence, and service that defines the Phoenix Chapter.

Welcome New Mothers

This year, the Phoenix Chapter proudly welcomed our newest mothers into the Jack and Jill family. Through the initiation process, these women joined a legacy of leadership, service, and commitment to enriching the lives of children and strengthening our chapter community.

We are excited to welcome the Noble 9 and look forward to the unique gifts, talents, and perspectives they will bring to our village. Their addition strengthens our chapter and ensures the continued growth and success of the Phoenix Chapter for years to come.

Mother Recognition Awards

During our May Celebration, we recognized mothers whose dedication, leadership, and service exemplify the mission and values of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. These awards honor individuals whose contributions have made a meaningful impact on our chapter and the families we serve.

Honorees were recognized through the Juanita Dickey Spirit Award, Betty Thompson Legacy Builder Award, Evelyn Warren Service Award, Village Builder Award, Crown Adjuster Award, and Rising Sun Award. From fostering connection and uplifting others to building lasting legacies of leadership, each recipient reflects the spirit of service that helps our chapter thrive. We are grateful for their commitment and proud to celebrate the positive difference they continue to make within our village.

Graduating Mothers

This year, we celebrated and honored our graduating mothers for their years of service, leadership, and dedication to the Phoenix Chapter. Through countless volunteer hours, committee work, mentorship, and support, they have helped shape meaningful experiences for our children and families.

While their chapter journey as active mothers may be transitioning, their impact and legacy will continue to be felt for years to come. We thank them for their contributions and wish them continued success as they begin their next chapter within the Jack and Jill family.

Graduating Seniors

The Phoenix Chapter proudly celebrated our graduating seniors and their many accomplishments as they prepare to embark on the next stage of their educational journeys. Their hard work, perseverance, leadership, and commitment to excellence have positioned them for continued success beyond high school.

As they move forward to colleges and universities across the country, we celebrate not only their academic achievements but also the character, confidence, and leadership they have developed through their Jack and Jill experiences. We look forward to seeing all they will accomplish in the future.

Black Family Day

On May 2, Phoenix Chapter families gathered at Mavrix for our Black Family Day and year-end celebration filled with laughter, fellowship, games, and meaningful moments together. The event served as a joyful reminder of the strength of our village and the importance of family, fellowship, and community.

From friendly competition and shared experiences to conversations and connections across generations, the celebration reflected the spirit of Jack and Jill and the bonds that unite our chapter. As we concluded another successful program year, families came together to create lasting memories, celebrate our collective accomplishments, and reaffirm our commitment to supporting one another as we continue to lead, serve, and thrive together.

Father's Appreciation

In honor of our fathers and father figures, the Phoenix Chapter celebrated them with a fun-filled afternoon at Andretti’s. The day was filled with friendly competition, games, laughter, and meaningful moments of connection as families came together to celebrate the incredible men who continue to make a difference in the lives of our children and community.

We are grateful for their leadership, support, and the love they pour into our families each day. It was a joy to celebrate them and recognize the lasting impact they make throughout our chapter.

Living History 2026: Beacons of Hope

Our teens took center stage at the 21st Annual Living History Awards Program and Reception on February 28, honoring Phoenix leaders and organizations whose courage, leadership, and advocacy continue to shape our community and preserve the values of democracy, civil rights, and justice. Centered around the theme, “Beacons of Hope: Leading the Charge to Preserve Our Democracy and Civil Rights,” the program showcased months of research, interviews, and presentations led by our teens.

This year, we proudly recognized the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy, Jocquese Blackwell, Esq., Dr. Reginald Bolding, Dr. Judy Greene, Councilman Kevin Robinson, Mayor Corey Woods, and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women – Phoenix Chapter. Through the guidance of mentors and the dedication of our teens, the program celebrated leadership, legacy, and the importance of investing in the next generation.

Youth Day 2026 – Arizona African American Legislative Conference

Our Phoenix, Sun Valley, and Tucson teens represented their chapters with excellence during Youth Day at the 24th Annual Arizona African American Legislative Conference.

From leading the Pledge of Allegiance on the Senate floor to participating in a mock legislative session, our youth gained hands-on experience in civic engagement while connecting with hundreds of peers from across the state.

Founders' Day Celebration

On January 25, our chapter gathered to celebrate Founders’ Day, honoring the vision, leadership, and legacy of our founders. This year’s theme, African Diaspora: It Takes a Village, highlighted the strength of community and the power of sisterhood across generations.

Through fellowship and reflection, we honored our history and the Associate jewels who laid the foundation for the village we continue to build for our families and children. This meaningful celebration reminded us of who we are, whose we are, and the generations we uplift through purpose, love, and tradition.
